Atlanta-Inman-Park-Portrait-Eric-Litwin-08The Learning Groove, a music and movement program that promotes early learning with a focus on developing a child’s music aptitude, motor coordination, social learning skills, and language acquisition, is proud to present three amazing musicians to perform at Amplify Decatur on June 21st at 2pm. Eric Litwin, also known as Mr. Eric, is the #1 New York Times Best Selling author of the first four “Pete The Cat” picture books. He has sold more than 1.5 million books, been translated into seven languages, and has won 15 state and national awards, including the prestigious Theodor Geisel Seuss Honor Award.

Litwin and Michael Levine, who will also perform at Amplify’s Interactive Kids’ Show, are co-founders of The Learning Groove. 82e8f6fe781d99e5c45898a3ec73bac9Michael Levine is a singer-songwriter based in Atlanta, GA. His combination of intellectual lyrics, unique acoustics, and live percussion give him the ability to inspire his audience. Levine has opened for such greats at Dave Matthews, Live, Counting Crows, and Joe Walsh. He also won the prestigious Eddie’s Attic Open Mic Shoutout, putting him in ranks with other former winners, John Mayer and Jennifer Nettles. Levine has performed for more than 10 years with The Learning Groove and is the music producer of the first four Pete The Cat picture books.

sweet familyJennifer Daniels is also a member of The Learning Groove. She is an award-winning songwriter, and a true powerhouse on stage. Aside from nationwide performances, she spends her time touring in schools, libraries, and festivals, encouraging children to read and self-express through stories and songs. Daniels offers interactive keynotes and workshops for educators to build interactive learning into their curriculum. With a Master’s in counseling and certification in Autism Movement Therapy, she has a special love for individualized learning.

The Amplify Decatur Interactive Kids’ Show will take place on Saturday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at Eddie’s Attic. Attendees will also get a sneak peek into Eric Litwin’s upcoming children’s series, “The Nuts,” set to release August 2014.
